Toni Wentz is the teacher in our Infant 2 Room and has been teaching for 10+ years. Prior to joining The Preschool Childcare Center, Toni had her own In-Home Daycare in her Hometown of Prairie du Chien, Wi. Toni now lives in Holmen Wi., and has had experience working in two other centers as the Lead Infant Room Teacher.
Toni enjoys working with children, and loves to watch them grow. One of the most rewarding things for her is to see the many first milestones of the children's lives. Toni looks forward to teaching all of the children that go through her room, as well as working together with their families to give them the best possible learning experience.
Heather Silvers grew up in Boscobel, Wisconsin. After high school she moved to Eau Claire to study Elementary Education at UW-EC. While in Eau Claire she started working at a day care center and found it very rewarding and decided to continue on this career path. Eventually Heather moved to this area and began working at a childcare center in Holmen, where she continued working for six years while also earning her Childcare Certification through independent studies.
Heather joined the Preschool Childcare Center in October of 2013 and is the lead teacher in the infant I room. Heather enjoys working with children of all ages and finds that working in childcare is one of the most wonderful and rewarding jobs that a person could have.

Mary Webber earned her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Technical College in 2008 and is currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University.
Having worked in the teaching field for several years, Mary enjoys her career having wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl. She finds working with children and their families to be a rewarding experience and is excited to be a part of the team as a Pre-K teacher at the Preschool Childcare Center. She states, “Working with children brightens my day and I look forward to sharing my experiences with the children and their families.”
Lisa Goodwin the Director of The Preschool Childcare Center, graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Art. Lisa has previous teaching experience as a pre-school and after-school teacher with the La Crosse Day Care system and was also a substitute Elementary School teacher.
Lisa has lived in the La Crosse area her whole life and is happily married to her husband Dave. Over their 25+ years of marriage, they have raised 5 children, (Zach, Max, twin girls Kali and Nikki, and Ben) of whom they are very proud.
Along with the experience of being a mom to 5 great kids, Lisa feels that with her teaching background, she is ready for anything! She looks forward to working along with the parents to create a fun and exciting learning experience for all children attending The Preschool Childcare Center.
